For more than a decade, I have been concerned with the impact of technology on how we work, live and organise. I speak and write about the network and information society, and books such as Easycracy and Never Finished have helped me to have the conversation with others about the future of work.
Together with Mark Meinema, I started the initiative Digital Fitness, helping knowledge workers to be smarter about their information capital. Because although we collect more and more data, we continue to struggle with how to make that information truly useful. For me, Digital Fitness is about getting a grip on what you know, and thus on your work, your time and ultimately your life.
At Wonders of Work, I am involved as a partner to share ideas and help others work more effectively in an increasingly digital world. I do this, for example, through Obsidian sessions, in which I show how to organise personal knowledge conveniently and flexibly.
